Citizens’ Radio in India refers to Citizens Band (CB) Radio, a short-distance radio communication system that runs in the 27 MHz band and is accessible to the general population. It seeks to respect the values of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, particularly Articles 19 and 21, by providing a forum for citizens to express themselves, share information, and promote democracy. It operates in simplex mode, which means that users take turns transmitting and receiving.
